What is Galactic War

Strategy meets
persistence

Galactic War wraps the classic Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance experience in a persistent galaxy-wide campaign. Every match you play matters — territories are won and lost, and your commander's fate is permanent.

Persistent Galaxy
Fight across a living galaxy map. Every planet your faction controls is a strategic asset — defend it with purchased fortifications that persist between battles.
Avatar Death is Permanent
When your ACU dies, so does your avatar. All ranks and credits are lost. Every match carries real weight — fight smart, or use the Recall command to evacuate in time.
Ranks & Reinforcements
Earn credits, rank up, and unlock higher-tier unit reinforcements. Air-drop T2 or T3 units directly to your position mid-battle to turn the tide of war.
Faction Loyalty
Choose once. Fight together. Your entire team shares the same faction — UEF, Cybran, Aeon, or Seraphim — for the full season. Coordination is everything.
Real-time Planet Map
Watch the galaxy shift as battles resolve. The galaxy editor lets you see contested planets, supply lines, and faction territory in real time.
Planet Defenses
Spend credits to fortify planets your faction holds. AA, Point Defenses, and TMDs greet attackers from the very start — making conquest costly.

How to join
the war

Download the GW Client

Grab the Galactic War client below. It's a standalone FAF-compatible client built to communicate with the GW server — includes the galaxy editor and match setup system.

Log in with your FAF account

The client uses your existing FAForever login. No separate registration needed — your FAF identity is your gateway to the war.

Pick your faction

Choose UEF, Cybran, Aeon, or Seraphim. This decision is final for the season — your avatar, your credits, your rank are all tied to this faction.

04

Fight for the galaxy

Queue for battles on contested planets, use your reinforcements wisely, protect your ACU — and don't die. The galaxy is watching every move.
